I am glad to announce that dental offices across Ontario have been re-opened by the order of the Government and Chief Medical Officer of Health. Previously from March 15-May 31st we were only seeing patients on an emergency basis; many of you with broken teeth from the stresses of the Covid-19 pandemic.
We are taking steps to re-open by implementing protocols to address the safety of our patients and staff. The following practices will be followed to provide you the confidence that our office is a safe, thorough and friendly environment:
1. Covid-19 screening questionnaire when the appointment is made and at the appointment
2.Temperature screening
3. Hand sanitizing station and masks
Please be patient as we reschedule all appointments, as we cancelled over 2,100 patient visits during the past 11 weeks.
Our staff looks forward to seeing your smiling faces again and welcome any questions you may have regarding your upcoming visits.
Sincerely,
Dr. Derek Haruta
In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, at the direction of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons, all dental offices in Ontario are closed except for dental emergencies. This change will be in effect until the first week of April at which time the college will reassess the situation. Our office will contact you to reschedule your appointment once it has been deemed safe to see all patients. If you have a dental emergency please contact us and we will schedule an appointment to see you. Thank you for your understanding.
